Assets — net worth, Zakat & Fitrana
The Assets module gives the two of you a single, honest picture of where you stand financially — what you own, what you owe, and what that nets out to. It also includes Zakat and Fitrana calculators for couples who pay them.
Tracking net worth
- Open Assets from the More tab.
- Add your assets — savings, gold, investments, property, anything of value.
- Add your liabilities — loans, card balances, amounts owed.
- MianBiwi subtracts one from the other to show your net worth, updated as you edit.
Because it's joint, both spouses maintain the same list — no more comparing two half-pictures.
Zakat calculator
For couples who pay Zakat, the built-in calculator works it out from your zakatable assets according to the standard threshold (nisab) and rate. Enter your holdings and it tells you what's due. It's a calculator and guide, not religious advice — confirm specifics with a scholar you trust.
Fitrana
Around Eid, the Fitrana (Zakat al-Fitr) helper estimates what your household owes and lets you record Fitrana payments so you can keep track of who's been paid for.
Currency
Assets uses your couple's currency setting throughout — set it once in Settings.
Privacy
These are some of the most personal numbers in the app. They're visible only to you and your spouse, gated by the same private, couple-scoped rules as everything else. See Privacy & your data.
