Pairing with your spouse
MianBiwi comes alive when both spouses are connected. Pairing links your two accounts into a single private couple, so every entry syncs between your phones.
How pairing works
One of you generates an invite code; the other redeems it. That's it.
Step 1 — Generate an invite (spouse A)
- Open MianBiwi and go to the invite screen (the pairing prompt on the home screen, or Settings → Spouse).
- Tap Generate invite code.
- Share the code with your spouse — send it by message, or read it out loud.
Step 2 — Redeem the invite (spouse B)
- On the second phone, open the invite screen.
- Tap Enter a code and type the code your spouse gave you.
- Tap Join.
Your two accounts are now one couple. Open any module and you'll both see the same data.
You can also enter an invite code during sign-up. If you have a code before you've made an account, the app remembers it and pairs you automatically once your account is created.
What happens to my existing data?
If you'd been using the app solo before pairing, redeeming an invite leaves your solo couple and joins your spouse's. This is handled atomically and safely. Anything you want to keep, add it again after pairing — most couples pair early, before they've entered much.
Rules & limits
- A couple has exactly two members. A third person cannot join.
- You cannot redeem your own invite code.
- Each person is in one couple at a time.
Unpairing
To separate accounts, go to Settings → Spouse → Leave couple. After leaving, you're back to a solo couple and can pair again with a new code.
